Queued for 40 minutes for a ride that didn't really live up to the weight of expectation it has to bear. I'd do it again, but only if the queues were short, otherwise it's a bit of a waste of time. There are at least two other rides in the Studios that are better than this, and whose queues don't stretch for a painfully long amount of time. 8/10

Hi guys!

Just returned from Disney (1st - 4th Dec this time round) and must admit longest I waited for Crush's Coaster was 15 minutes (I got lucky right!)

Anywho, I think that this ride is brilliant. I love the way it initially surprises you with that first drop, and continues to do so throughout! Definately no kids ride that's for sure!

I got quite scared on Bruce the Shark (rode both back and front this trip and admit front was quite noticeably scarier ha ha) but I absolutely fell in love with the jellyfish scene!

A brilliant ride that I cannot fault. I warn you guys though, it's not what you expect ha ha!

OH MY DAYS! Never heard so many complaints for a roller-coaster...

I understand that everyone has opinions, however, when some of these people say sort it out because they haven't got a fastpass on this ride, there is a reason. I am not in any way affiliated with Disney but many tests have been done for this ride and its fastpass system. As you know this ride only takes 4 at a time... putting a fast pass on this ride wouldn't make the queue any faster. They would only be able to offer an extremely small amount of fastpasses out per day (as you know you are asked for a time slot), go and get your fast pass at 10.15 and there wouldn't be any.

Calculations are done with capacity of ride, and by my estimation this ride wouldn't take many more passengers than 800 ish per hour, it simply isnt enough for fast pass otherwise the normal queue wouldn't move at all. I have personally queued for an hour and a half for "spinball whizzer" at Alton Towers UK, which has been manufactured by the same company.

Mediocre ride which wasn't really worth the queue wait (45 mins). I went down backwards on this one and didn't spin one bit or ever face forwards. The main drop was a bit of a rush as I couldn't see what was coming, but after that it was a bit boring.

IF this ride had a FASTPASS or was open during EMH (planned in December for the Studios) then I think it would be worth some further attention.

There's a lot of negativity coming out of people's mouths! I can only tell you, you go on with a negative face - you come out with one. Here's my experience though!:

August 6th 2009:

Headed to Walt Disneys Studios quite early. Tonnes of people scattered about everywhere & sweltering hot sun (Quick Tip - Bring a portable fan at this time of year). Studio Tram Tour's queue line is out of hand so I decided to try the new & exciting looking crush's coaster. Queue monitor reads - 85 minutes & that is the most sensible time compared to the other attractions so we stand in qeue.

We get into the building 2 & a half hours later, up some stairs, down the skinniest corridor & down another flight of stairs before being brought to the front as I was with somebody else. I was put into a shell with another couple & the ride began. It started off by going up a small ramp down & into the 'outside bit' & through 'finding nemo' scenes & up a dark ramp where a scary bruce the shark (don't worry, small kids love him - not too scary at all!) jumps out at you. Then you get to the top of the ramp & hear, ''grab shell dude!'' & the ride begins.

You slowly bob up & down & turn from time to time, but it does go quite fast & the drops aren't big only slight slants, there are no inversions (loops or corkscrews etc...) either! I loved it & my mum who thought she was petrified of roller coasters & is in her 50's! now has gone roller coaster friendly!

This is an amazing ride! All ages will love it! Give it a go Grandparents!

I definitely agree with everyone else about the queue. Disneyland should put a fastpass on this as soon as possible. We were there as the park opened to the public and we were stood in the park for over an hour. Thought the ride was a bit overrated for my liking but it is a great addition for people who are fans of fast roller coasters. Don't like the fact that you can see the track laid out in front of you. Not my cup of tea so not likely to go on it again when I go next year.

Good ride! Very surprised. At first it seems like a nice kiddie ride, but then you go into the main ride and you are on a proper roller coaster, and as others have said the spinning is a good idea, but it can leave you a bit nauseas.

However: The queue was the longest we came across, on the quieter days about 25 minutes, on the Saturday 1 hour 40 minutes. This ride needs a fast pass system. Sort it out Disney!

Brilliant. The queue was long - said 60 mins - but was actually 40mins. Kept moving though. When you get to load I felt you had to jump in to the cars very quickly!

I managed to spot my husband & daughter while whoooshing past them on the outside bit, very good how you get spun round. Would recommend.

Holy cow!

Agree with everyone about the length of time for lining up.

We actually got to the park first thing before the gates had opened and were in the line immediately and still had to wait for about 40 minutes before we got near the loading area at which time the ride broke down and we had another 15 or so minutes before we got on.

The line up was rather boring compared to other lines and only became properly themed once we got inside.

So, got in my turtle shell and thought I knew what to expect as was riding with my family who had been on before and warned me as I am a 'nervous' passenger.

The ride started out great with me facing forwards, ready for the drop into the outside with my face prepared in a happy grin for the watching public - I too have watched many a scared passenger whizz past.

The ride then becomes nice and kiddyfied for all of 30 seconds with the characters and music then Bruce the shark starts going mental as the turtle shell starts to climb a worrying looking track...

You're then plunged into what I can only describe as a large washing machine where you plummet, forwards and backwards, spinning this way and that at high speed in the darkness with the occasional glimpse of neon fish and Crush.

I personally hated it because I do get motion sick and in the end I just closed my eyes, leaned back into my seat and screamed occasionally!

At the end of the ride I was facing backwards so could see the track we had come down and I tried desperately to get my head back together so that I would be able to climb out quickly back in the loading dock without falling over and looking like a right eejit.

The rest of my family loved it again but there were an awful lot of crying kids, green adults and traumatised tots around!

Can only imagine what some of those kids were thinking - nothing like Pan's Flight or Dumbo!

However, kudos to Disney for creating a thrilling ride that can appeal to all ages - and they do warn you that it is a high speed turbulent ride in the dark so I can't say they didn't tell me!

Wouldn't do it again but can see the appeal for those who like to feel dizzy and sick in the darkness whilst their belly strains against the tight barrier of a turtle shell!

Great ride and the spinning feature is superb! The only downside is the queue length. We hit this ride first thing last Wednesday and it was already at 2 hours! Fastpass should be moved from the flying carpets on to this ride!
