I love the Bonfire Spectacular due to it being so different form your everyday disneyland park fireworks show. In 2005 we watched it infront of the New york and the view was spectacular. The only downside is that it is only on 3 nights a week (weather permitting) and I think Disney should add more dates for the display.

A free fireworks and laser show on Lake Disney, held over a week around the period of the U.K.'s Bonfire Night (5th of November). Normally held between Hallowe'en and the start of Christmas, so if you time your visit right you get the end of one (Hallowe'en) or the beginning of the Christmas festivities.

I have seen the show several times and it is always spectacular. You have to wrap up warm as the days at the end of October and in early November are bound to be cold. It also rains - I have used one of the ponchos available in the park as a weather proof over my day clothes.

I normally watch from the area in front of the New York Hotel as this gives a good view and is a little higher than the surrounding lake side. I have viewed from the lakeside at Sequoia Lodge, as well.

The selection of music is good and in time with the fireworks.

Over all too quickly, this is a splendid way to round off the day.

I would recommend getting a spot early (about half an hour before) and keep well away from the village area.
With fireworks getting to 200-300 feet you do not have to be stood on top of them. In deed, the best views are got a little further away.

Eat beforehand and definitely wrap up warm.
If it looks like rain make sure you have waterproof clothes - see my suggestion earlier.
Gloves are a good idea.

Not sure why this has such a bad rating...
Considering this is a free spectacle, the amount of fireworks displayed is simply astonishing, and really is fantastic to look at!

I loved every bit of it, each time I saw it...

To honest a little disappointed with this, although the fireworks were good and set to music, they all came from one area.

I would have thought the would have spread it out across the lake on the backdrop of Hotel Newport Bay. The fireworks were well done and went off in time with the music, the bonfire was big, but it was nothing compared to some of the Firework displays in the park, e.g Wishes

Set around the lake, get there about an hour before to get a place without somebody stood in front of you. It gets cold to so wrap up!

The village especially mcdonalds was heaving before, during and after this event. If you have booked the to go on the same week this is on then obviously go and see it, because its free, but i wouldn't book especially.
