I stumbled upon the dragon in my last visit to Disneyland Paris.

Well, what can I say??

Everything about it is brilliant!! The atmosphere, the location, the dragon itself. This is what really sets Disney parks apart from other theme parks like Alton Towers and Thorpe Park. It is spellbounding- and it shows the true skill of the Imagineers. If only more people knew about this hidden gem........

Somthing that many guests tend to overlook, but is is hidden gems like these that make Disneyland so magical. They clearly thought about everything when planning this, from the movements to the sound effects and everything blends perfectly to create a truyl eerie atmosphere. This is Disney Imagineering at its best.

It took me about 8 years to eventually go into the dragon, but, she is soo cool and I just want to go again to see her. Many people think the dragon is a male, but, it is Malificent when she turns into the dragon and she was trapped under the castle. She roars because she is angry. Im going back to Disneyland in September! Yay! You should go in during the day, so you can actually see anything, because, when it is dark, you cant see anything. The dark makes it look more erie, though. It all depends what you like. I would reccomend during the day.

I had been looking for this for a couple of days before we finally stumbled upon it (it isn't on the map). Unfortunately, it was so busy in there that I didn't get close enough to see it properly. My 5 year-old was relieved that the dragon was asleep, and got a bit of a fright when it woke up!

Fantastic. As soon as you walk through the cavernous cave entrances, the atmosphere of the place is dark and foreboding. Take a moment to listen to the sound effects (dripping, screeches etc.) and look out for the blinking red eyes in the blackness. Then you come face to scaly face with a giant, moving, breathing dragon!

Almost everything moves, from its fiery eyes to its clawed talons, and now it even breathes real smoke! Little children could well be frightened, but there are some good places to view the dragon from a distance. Make sure you time your visit right as a lot of the time the dragon lies asleep doing more or less nothing. Enjoy!

A MUST visit - I love these hidden gems in disneyland and I must say this is the best, it might scare small children but otherwise everyone will like it - just reassure them it's chained up and so won't eat them.

Tip: If your entering from the darker entrance watch out for children you can knock them over it's so dark.

The dragon's actually pretty awesome. It's pretty dark when you first step inside, but head forward just a little bit more, and there's the dragon's lair. Wait a few moments to see him peek his head up and look around. Even the parents in our family were a little freaked out! The attention to detail on the dragon is awesome, though. Look at his stomach; it actually moves, like he's breathing. Definitely worth a peek.

One of the hidden attractions lying beneath Sleeping Beauty's castle. Here lies the dragon in its dark and wet cave. (Enter the cave from the left hand side - head towards Adventureland but take the path leading towards the castle).

The animatronics and 3D effects are brilliant. Wait for a few minutes for your eyes to get used to the dark and you will see much more.
At one point the dragon let out a squirt of steam from its nostrils but in February 2008 this did not happen. The claw moves it "fingers" and you can hear the dragon roar!

You must take in this one - but be warned, those of a nervous disposition or of a young age may become a little scared.
