This is better than Dumbo the Flying Elephant, especially at night, when Discoveryland is brilliantly lit. The levers on this ride let you go higher than Dumbo too, and the ride has a nice soundtrack.
The little rockets are a bit of a squeeze to get in and out of, especially if you have two people in each. Take a look at the ornate “planetarium” centrepiece too.
This is in the same category as flying carpets and dumbo. If you are an adult go on one of the latter. Definately DO NOT go on with two fully grown adults in one rocket. It is highly embarrassing if you get stuck fast and there are people gawping at you trying to get out. I was in the front and nearly broke my leg attempting to get out when my mother decided to push me forward and try to squeeze out of the back. Screaming in pain only attracts more attention, not sympathy!!
In the end my mam had to wiggle upwards and be pulled out (sorry mam ‘assisted’ out) by the cast member on the ride while I squashed myself forward as much as I could. We are only average sized adults as well not huge. We slinked/limped away as quickly as humanly possible once freed.
Great looking ride, but not good if you have just eaten or don’t like being spun round.
I found the cars quite small and left me feeling a bit sick. It is similar to carpets and Dumbo with the up and down lever, but this is a bit faster than the other rides.
