This is another great concept, take to the streets of London overhead in a boat on your way to never land! My 2 kids (& me) love this ride, the only issue though is the extraordinary long ques for this ride, even with a Fast Pass, however if you can endure that this ride is brilliant. 9 out of 10 only because of the length of time you have to que for.
I first went on this ride in 2006 with some friends and I have to say we all screamed (with delight) as the flighing boat we were in flew through the sky and made turns just before we were headed for the wall! we Loved it and managed to do it twice during our stay at high season! There is always a long queue for this ride so to avoid this either go during extra magic hours, during the parade or use the fast pass system! It is well worth it!
I have since been on this ride twice, once again in 2007 and again in 2008 and I have to say I felt there was a change in the ride, I thought it was musch darker than it was in 2006 and did take away from the illusion of flying at night…it was more like just moving around in the darkness with only some animatronics being well enough lit up!
However I still love this ride, I think it’s brilliant and I love the loading area with all the flying ships and the lovely mural on the wall! Its a must for any visitor to the park but do note that very young children may feel frightened in the dark!
Peter Pan’s Flight is really the most magical dark-ride I’ve never seen ! The vehicle is just a very good idea and allow to the trip to be more enchanted for all the scenes ! But the must stay the trip upon London and upon the Neverland, it’s very awesome and just so magical, we finally believe that dreams can become true !
Being the massive Peter Pan fan that I am, just the music alone is enough to get me excited! Everything about this ride is wonderful though, and in my opinion, it is worth queueing just to experience ‘flying over London’ – that scene actually makes me shiver, simply because it’s so beautiful!
As others have said, the queue does get ridiculously long so make this either the first thing you do, or get a Fastpass.
A lovely, beautiful ride that I adore. Similar to the E.T ride in the Florida Studios, but as a Peter Pan fan I much prefer this one. Children and adults alike can enjoy this one; queues are long so either fast pass it or go during morning magic hours – we went before 9am and walked on, with empty ships both in front and behind us!
The view over London for us seemed much darker than it should’ve been, but I believe it’s due some down time very soon so hopefully they can fix that!
I couldn’t see why this ride attract such long queues, as it left me quite cold. My 5-year old on the other hand, loved in, and went back several times during our stay.
This is a beautiful ride. It really feels like Peter Pan takes you along. Love the music too..Sometimes the ride is not so smooth, a bit bumpy. The queues can be rather long, so taking a fastpass is a good option here.
This is a very good ride, and definitely the best ride in Fantasyland, and one of the best in the park. The queues may be long, but this is a must do anyway. The best bit in the ride is the flight over London, because of so many lights. It is one of the best rides ever made by Imagineers.
10/10
Has huge queues most of the day so definitely do it during Extra Magic Hours if you can. Once you’re on the ride you’ll be whisked through the Darling nursery before gliding in spectacular fashion on magical pirate ships over London and off the Neverland to stop Captain Hook.
The animatronics are simple but effective, and the flight over London is fabulously done. Look out for the tiny moving lights representing cars on the ground and the iconic landmarks. You’ll probably screech to a halt somewhere on the ride to prevent logjam at the loading area so don’t worry.
So get your green stocking and felt hat at the ready, it’s off to Neverland….!
Everytime I see this attraction there is a lot of queue outside, and I know why. it’s a wonderful darkride. I really love when we can fly over london and then pass in a stars tunnel to neverland.
Absolutely a must-do. Even if there are 90min of queue.
All my Disneyland Resort Paris trips start with a night journey over London one, two or three times. It’s my favourite attraction in the park and my family, and friends too, enjoy riding Peter Pan’s Flight. This Dark-ride is really magic, and during a few minute you think realy flying over London after passing the window of Darling’s house. And the soundtrack “You can fly” is also great.
Enjoying the Peter Pan’s experience takes 3 minutes … after 60 to 90 minutes queueing. But remember it’s simply magic and if you can’t wait, take a FastPass.
Almost a carbon copy of the original disneyland’s version with some additional special effects and increased seating capacity. Having not visited TDL yet i can say that WDW’s version is my favorite.
A hard to review ride this one!
The ride is lovely, the animatronics are very sweet although quite dated, but that may be the basis of it’s appeal.
However the ride is not smooth at all. Once again showing it’s age. It’s quite jerky and squeaky, but the feeling of “flying” appeals to young and old alike.
Ridiculous queues! Can be queueing for 80 minutes.
It is one of those must do rides, but try and avoid the queues by getting there during early morning magic hours!
This ride always produces mixed responses. My mother loves it, but for me it’s a little dated however I am always happy to go on it!
See for yourself!
This is one of my favourites. The whole ride is an enchanting experience as you “fly” over London and onto Neverland by the second star on the right.
Starting by entering the Darling’s house you soon head out of the window and over London. The starlit sky adds to the magic as you fly over the island with its volcano and pirate ship in the bay.
The scenes from the film are looking a little tired but hold the magic for me.
Cap’n Hook trapped in the croc’s jaws always makes me smile!
A good ride for children of all ages. Sit in the front of the galleon of you can – the best view.
Loved this ride and am sad to see some bad reviews on it. I was fort unit enough to be staying in a Disney hotel and be able to go on this ride before every one else. The idea of starting in the nursery and flying out the window was spectacular. The music brought back childhood memories, it was a bit jerky but the scenery blocked that out totally. One of the most ma genitive rides in the park and deferentially the best in Fantsyland.I came back to go on this ride at midday and the que was enormous and didn’t bother so make sure you get there early as it is a must see!
I know this review isn’t going to go down well, but I’m only being honest, i hated this ride. The queues were ridiculous, the ride is bumpy and jerky (jerkier than thunder mountain!) and its not even that interesting apart from the part where you fly over London.
Perhaps there was a problem on it on the day i rode it, as me and my mum both came off thinking why does everyone say thats so good? We cant understand it at all.
I love this ride, its so beautiful and makes you feel like a child. I love the stars in the sky and the view of London, the music, the scenery, flying in a boat, well everything really
It is a little jerky, so not a good idea to get on it straight after a meal, like I did after having a breakfast in fantasy land, although this is the best time to get on it as the queues were non existent. I have never queued for more than 5 mins. on this ride because its all about getting there at the quiet times of day and time of year. I have no patience for waiting!
As the last reviewer has commented, this is a rare ride that is for all ages. It is a lovely, quaint and beautiful ride that captures the essence of Peter Pan in a 2 minute flight in a Pirate Ship.
My favourite part is definitely the part where you fly over London and can see the tiny cars moving through the roads – it amused me when I was 6 and it still does now I’m 22! I’ve heard a few people comment on disboards.com that they have never seen Tinkerbell in this ride – watch out for her as she is above the ship when the ship turns to gold – that is her putting pixie dust on it of course!
As you may already know, the queues get incredibly lengthy – so unlike myself who made my mum queue for 2 hours several times a day when I was younger, take advange of the Fastpass system and get on in no time.
Peter pans flight is a truly beautiful ride. My mums 50, my sons 2 and im 23 and we all love it so defently one for all ages! I find it a bit jolty but its just so great it really dosnt matter. It is defently the best ride in fantasyland and NOT to be missed. The ques can get megga huge so defently get a fast pass and then if you see its quiet on passing ride it while your waiting for your time slot!
This is one of the most magical rides at Disney, its just incredible. One tip though; try and get a fast pass because me and my family queued for nearly an hour!
Great ride over the roof tops of London. The effects are great as is the soundtrack. Whether it is worth the 60 to 90 minutes queueing time which is often stated I doubt – use the Fast Pass you know it makes sense.
Board your pirate ship for a ride up, up and away over the streets of London complete with Big Ben and moving taxis and on to Neverland! Be warned though lines for this ride can get very long so I would advise a Fastpass ticket if you don’t want to be queuing for ages. This will appeal to all ages, young and old alike.
Great ride, fantastic theming. You’ll be singing ‘You can fly’ during the ride and probally for hours after it. The ride seems to go fast, but the wait time is long. So grab a fastpass early on, or you can probally be holding onto that fastpass for 6-7hours (like i did when we went). Wait times in the whole of Fantasyland seem to go down during and after the parade.
This is the best ride in Fantasyland, a charming journey aboard a flying pirate ship to Neverland. Highlights include a nightime journey over London and a memorable sword fight between Captain Hook and Peter Pan! There are plenty of models and precious little cardboard which plagues the Snow White and Pinocchio rides.
This is a very popular, but slow loading attraction which means very long lines. Either ride first thing in the morning or grab a FASTPASS. Beware that FASTPASS sells out often, so try and get one before noon.
Suspended dark ride through the world of Peter Pan and Never Land.
Off to Never Land! A fleet of enchanted pirate ships are waiting to take you soaring up into the skies above London, through the Darling household and circling around Big Ben. Then, with a smile in your heart, follow the second star to the right and Never Never Land awaits!
