  1. Wow!

This ride never fails to amaze me! The initial shoot off is brilliant, and the soundtrack (which changes I noticed this year!) is even better! I didn’t wait long this year to ride this however when I have been in peak times before, the waiting hasn’t been that bad due to a playlist in the queue!

    It’s loud, it’s fast, it’s stylish. It’s Aerosmith!

  2. Must say i agree with many comments, another fantastic coaster by disney. The on board music and lighting just makes the perfect coaster. An extremely smooth coaster with 3 inversions. The smell when you get inside is always the same, smokey (from the smoke machines) and always makes me scream! Love Disney for putting this coaster type with lighting music and the fantastic darkness!

  3. Excellent, excellent, totally awesome ride. The days we were in the studios this was a 5 minute wait, practically a walk on.

    I only have two small niggles with this ride;

    1. Most of the time I ended up with the same Aerosmith track (Walk This Way) – I couldn’t figure out how or what changes this.

    2. The flashing lights at the end. I enjoyed the ride, I want to get off and ride again, NOT have my retinas burnt out by flashing lights for up to a minute!

  4. This is a ride which I can Honestly say: Gives you an Adrenaline Rush… The Loud Music, Flashing Strobe Lights and Smooth Coaster on top of being in the dark makes this the Perfect Ride for Thrill Seekers and Adrenaline Junkies!

  5. This is definitely the best roller coaster I have ever been on. It ticks all the boxes: Small queue, fast, smooth, well themed and thrilling! As soon as it was over I queued up again. Not for the faint hearted but a must for any one who wants a bit of a scare. The most thrilling ride in the Paris parks.

  6. This ride is brilliant!
Something to look at whilst your queuing, but the queues go down really fast!
One of my favourite bits, is coming round the corner and watching them take off! So funny, and fast!

And when your doing that take off yourself…. wow

  7. This ride was great because you didn’t now what was coming so you couldn’t worry about what was infront of you! The launch was amazing it was just so unexspected.

The queue was massive, a 2 hour long wait it was so i got fast pass the wait was still half an hour long, i would definately reccomend using fast pass.

This is one of the smoothest fastest coasters i’ve ever been on.The music at the back of your seat was great it was so clear.

I would reccomend this ride to children over the ages of 7 and 8. Not for the faint hearted. My review 10/10 !! !!

  8. I’ll wait to the september refurb of this ride to give a good review because this weekend it was almost all in the dark for my train …

The launch at the start is nice …

  9. LOVE this rollercoaster! I love the sudden takeoff and the music playing in speakers in your seat. The lights and effects are amazing. Though I do prefer the preshow in WDW better. I wouldn’t reccommend it to anyone who doesn’t like rollercoasters as it is very scary.

  10. This was by far the best ride I have ever been on. I love the way it suddenly takes off. It took me three attempts to eventually go onto it because of the speed I saw it take off. I was so scared! A definate must-go! I was lucky because, at the time, the High School Musical parade was on and there was a one-minute queue, thank you High School Musical!

  11. I absutely LOVE this coaster! It’s my alltime favourite. I sadly have to ride it alone all the time, because my sister thinks it’s a bit too much for her. So..she waits while I go and ride it for a couple of times every day.

  12. Compared to it’s original form in Walt Disney World, this ride is slightly dissapointing. It is lacking a story compared to the original ride, which makes the ride and theming seem a bit lacking. The ride itself also is not as entertaining in comparison, however, on it’s own it still is a must-do.

  13. This ride is good, not great, but good. I think it looks like a normal roller coaster ride from any amusement park. There`s nothing special about it, except the speed at the beginning.

If you like roller coasters: do it! If you expect a perfectly themed disney attraction, you will be disappointed!

  14. My first roller coaster with upside down loops in the resort and I came off shaking. Wow it knocks the breath out of your lungs.

But recently it was a little disappointing, not so hard core and still not Space Mountain material.

A softer and less themed alternative to Space Mountain.

  16. FUN FUN FUN!

This really isn’t all that loud (maybe I am used to having the ipod cranked up waaay too much) or terribly dark, it’s all flashing lights and metal rigs a la rock concert style which you twist and turn your way through with rock music pumping through your headrests adding to the exhilaration, exhilarating is a good word for this one.

This is one of the speediest and smoothest coasters i have ever been on the launch is incredible we laughed the entire way round this ride-brilliant fun!

Next to Crush it is my favourite ride for fun factor.

For all you speed freaks I highly recommend the last car. whooooooosh!!

  17. Woooooooooooooooowwwwwwwww!!!!

This ride is just completely AWESOME, hold onto your seat and wait for the take off, if you ain’t been on it yet, you won’t experience anything better.

This ride is not for the faint hearted but once it gets going you enjoy every thrill of it right to the end.

Try it out if you DARE!!!

    By grahame913 on 13th July 2008

  18. I love this ride! This is really amazing. The start and the whole ride is fantastic and a great experience. The sound is good and you have a different light show and a different soundtrack with each train… awesome!

  19. This is truly an !AWESOME! Roller coaster. The best part is by far the beginning with the countdown and Sound Effects. It is such a great ride I cant write a review describing it!! Definitely 10 Stars!!!

  20. This is fantastic coaster. We came here day after experience of Crush’s & Space Mountain. My wife and daughter were frightened a lot after first two, but when we came to the Aerosmith, things became better. All that sounds, lights and effects give this ride special flavor, both of them was very relaxed. We enjoyed this ride a lot.

We will recommend this coaster to everybody, because it’s much more interesting than others, especially Crush’s which is very frightened one.

  21. Smooth, fast and fun!! The blast off is amazing and fast, wth great music too. A must do ride!

  22. Very fun and SMOOTH looping coaster. I was disappointed in the retheming of the load station and vehicles from the vastly superior DHS version (ex. stretch limos are now generic coaster seats).

  24. well, I can say that the launch in this coaster Rock !!!!! the launch is fantastic, I’ll never forget my first time on it, it was incredible. the track is very smooth, and the music is perfect !!!

  25. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is a high-speed, high-thrill rollercoaster through a display of lights, lasers, smoke, and strobes accompanied to the driving rock of Aerosmith (a band that you will appreciate far more after riding this). The theme of the ride is very different from that of its american counterpart, and is all the better for it. Rock n Rollercoaster is a piece of music technology- partly designed by the band (according to the pre-ride video at least)

The main element of the ride is the launch into a half-loop into corkscrew which is incredible as the g-forces are incredible- suddenly forcing you into your seat as you are catapulted forward then making you completely weightless as you curl around the corkscrew. The rest of the ride takes you through more corkscrews, climbs and troughs- however, after the intense beginning of the ride, it seems to gradually become somewhat mundane, especially toward the end when it becomes more gentle with slow bumps and then a very annoying end section where you slowly travel through a tunnel back to the station with some VERY bright lights flashing in your eyes.

This ride is very, very good- however it once gave me a migraine (after 3 rides) which i don’t think i will ever be able to forgive it for entirely…

8 stars- certainly a very good coaster, but not as good as other rides at the resort.

  26. What can I say, this ride is brilliant and with some of the shortest queues in the park you can just keep going round and round (as long as your stomach can handle it!)

    By dsjt2 on 13th May 2008

  27. This is a fantastic ride, i never used to like going on big rides like this one but i loved it! cant wait to go on it again!

By Gem on 23rd March 2008

  28. This is an awesome ride, the queues are never more than 5-10 minutes and the start is still great after the 10th time!!! A Must-do ride!!!

    By cHarrington87 on 14th March 2008

  29. This ride has to be the best ride in the studios all together. The layout of the track is BRILL! the lighting is awesome and the music is ROCKIN.

By koaster king on 19th February 2008

  30. This ride is great, I think it is one of the best rides in the entire resort!!

The best part has to be the beginning with the launch. The aerosmith music really brings the attraction ‘alive’ and you cant help singing along.

By worldmind on 15th February 2008

  31. This ride is GREAT, better than the one in WDW i thought. I just love the beginning of the ride when you go shooting in the darkness. A must do ride for all those that love thrill rides.

  32. I tried to get my little sister on this ride everytime we went to Disneyland Paris and when she finally gave in, she loved it!!!! We went on it at least five times in one day as the queue barely tops 30 mins. The story is not as good as in Walt Disney World but it does not really matter as I spend most of my time with my eyes closed! My favourite part of the ride is the launch as that is when the picture is taken and my expression is always hilarious ;) I love this ride! The best ride in studios! (I have not been on Tower of Terror in Paris yet) Everything a rollercoaster should be!

  33. This is a very good ride, never has massive queues (except perhaps after the Moteurs show), great atmosphere and music – the queue line is also quite interesting as there is lots to look at (guitars from big-name bands, old promotional posters, and of course the Aerosmith studio!) and it always moves quickly.

You are loaded into a really cool looking long race car (my advice is do not go at the front – it is nowhere near as smooth as even the second car back, plus it sort of feels like you are going to fall out onto the tracks – closer to the back you ‘drag’ and get even more G-force, or at least it feels like that!) and you are strapped in tightly but comfortably.

Your car then moves round the corner where you have Steven Tyler screaming ‘3-2-1′ in your ear while you are pulled back and launched – it is out of this world, and easily the best part of the ride. You then go straight into a loop which is *nearly* too much, but just enough…But then after this fantastic launch, the rest of the ride is actually kind of boring and non eventful, apart from a corkscrew loop you go through midway through the ride.

Despite this lull, you actually need it – the launch is so powerful you appreciate the rest after it, and the lighting and smoke effects during the ride do make you feel like you’re in a concert. In terms of rollercoaster technology, Space Mountain cannot be beaten, but the music, effects and the mind-blowing launch, combined with the fact that there are never massive queues, make this one of the top attractions in the Studios.

  34. A top ride! I was at the park a couple of weeks ago and rode Rock ‘n’ Roller coaster several times. On one occassion the music failed, they let us ride again straightaway this time with the music which I have to say is part of the whole experience. Still a great ride and highly recommended 3……..2……..1……..10/10

  35. Great great ride, great music, great effects. No real storyline, but who cares ? After all, an Aerosmith-based rollercoaster in a Disney theme park doesn’t make much sense in the first place, right ? 9/10… love in a rollercoaster !

By LeoofTerror on 8th December 2007

  36. I like this one a lot. There are not so many coasters like this one.
It’s everything you want in a coaster. Superb

  37. What more can you ask for? Fast paced launch coaster, loops, darkness and rock music – love it!

By lisseyloo on 4th December 2007

  38. I am always too scared to go on it. I have been as far as the front of the queue and then got too scared and came out. The queue line is one of the best so fun.

  39. I love this ride, especially the first acceleration. The only complaint I have is that it jerks your head around quite a lot, which can give you a bit of a headache after 5 or 6 consecutive rides!!! Still brilliant though.

By herbiesmum on 12th November 2007

  40. Excellent ride – my 7 yr old loved it and we had to keep going on it over and over again.
    Best rollercoaster ride at Disney.

  41. I love this ride!! It gives you a thrill you will never forget! The launch is absolutely fantastic and is just one ride that will blow you away! Rock’n'Rollercoaster is my favourite ride in Walt Disney Studios and I love going on it loads of times…and plus Aerosmith rock!!

    By disneybabygirl92 on 25th October 2007

  42. Definitely an awesome ride! The best way to think about it before boarding (if you’re afraid) is that its like taking an airplane ride with the blast off and remember to scream as this helps get rid of some of that anxiety. Other than that sit back and enjoy. Its truly a great ride!

    My score: 10/10

By mousemickey on 25th October 2007

  43. Once you have plucked up the courage to ride you will be going back for more I can assure you! This is a truly awesome rollercoaster and a much smoother ride than Space Mountain Mission 2. The count down at the beginning will have the palms of your hands sweating as you wait for the ride to start! The launch is brilliant – it takes your breath away!!!! Remeber to smile though as this is when the photographs are taken! This won’t appeal to very young children as they would find it too scary but teenagers and adults will love it. 10/10 everytime!

By junglebaggie on 18th October 2007

  44. I just LOVED it!!
    Great music,great ride, great attraction.
The seconds before the launch are a bit stressing even if you have already been there before, but then it’s great fun.
A must do if you like rollercoasters.

  45. GREAT ride, absolutely cool music, smooth ride. Did it 9 times in a row. excellent. don’t miss it.

    By stitch1981 on 17th September 2007

  46. This is an enjoyable enough rollercoaster. The launch is excellent – forceful, thrilling and fun. This is followed by being flipped over twice, which is great fun. After this, however, the ride suddenly runs out of steam, and plods through the rest of the track, which is disappointing.

Surrounding the rollercoaster track is an impressive light show, and there are also onboard speakers which blast out Aerosmith tunes while you’re zipping round. Disney have even managed to put in a pre show before the rollercoaster – however it is very short and rather pointless.

Overall this is an entertaining enough ride but it could have been much more. There’s rarely much of a line, especially in the mornings. Intensity wise, obviously it depends on how much you like rollercoasters. This is not a very intense rollercoaster but it does go upside down and the launch can be very intimidating, although it looks and sounds worse than it is.

When I last visited this was a very smooth ride and nothing like the vey rough Space Mountain in Disneyland Parc.

By lloyddy on 12th September 2007

  47. Great attraction! The music , lights and launch really makes it the best coaster at the resort. This ride is one of the reasons why people should visit the studios. This coaster rocks!

By Japper on 11th September 2007

  48. The Rock n Roller Coaster is my favourite ride in all of Disneyland Resort Paris. In fact, it’s my favourite ride in the whole world (And I’ve ridden almost 100 roller coasters at this moment in time). Ever since my first ride at the age 9, I have kept revisiting the resort to ride it over and over again, and it never disappoints. If you like big thrills, this is a must do attraction.

    10/10

  49. This ride is awesome, the queue line is very good and the ride is to. Its a very smooth roller coaster and its great to listen to aerosmith on a roller coaster. The disco lights and strobes are great. I wouldnt recomend this is your dont liek flashing lights, loud music or dont like fast launches.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith

Launched indoor coaster through rock concert lighting, 3 inversions.

Aerosmith have an awesome new “sound”… But, with a booming launch, twists, turns and loops throughout, this is a rock ‘n’ roll scream like nothing you’ve ever heard – or felt – before!
