As a little girl that refuses to grow up (the purpose of the trip was for my 21st after all!), I was most excited about booking this meal as soon as we got to DLRP! We booked it for the 2nd Dec for 2.15pm, and it was all I could think about!
Well, I get my new tiara on my head (yes, really) and off we set. As we walked in, we were greeted by Cinderella herself, signing books and taking photos with other little princesses! I thought she’d let me walk straight past as there were two adults, zero kids in our group but no, not Cinders! Complimenting me on my tiara and saying I was beautiful, she offered to take a picture with me. I jumped at the chance, of course, being the girlie girl I am!
We then got seated for our meal. No words can describe the elegance of this place. It was tastefully decorated for Christmas, and we were given a menu. After drooling over all of the delicious options, we both settled on the lamb. All three courses were exquisite, with foie gras, smoked salmon and tomato tartare for starters (could eat this all again!), my lamb (medium rare, with beautiful potatoes and mixed veg, god I wish I was there now!) and a creme brulee, Cinder’s caramel cream get up and a raspberry tart for dessert.
All of the princesses spent time with each table (even us, two adults on our own) and took their photos, held a conversation and looked brilliant. The unlimited wine was an unexpected treat, and the welcome cocktail was to die for!
56 euros each, which sounds expensive, but go there and you will NOT be disappointed!
We booked a table for midday and this was great as we were one of the first in and saw the princesess go round several times while we were eating. On entry to the restaurant you have your photo with Cinderella. The princesses came to each table and were not hurried along at all.
It is expensive but worth seeing the faces on the little ones. We have many photos of our daughter with the princess and all the autographs.
The food is beautifully presented but not to everyones taste. The desserts were fantastic and our daughter had her fill of them! We also had the option to buy a photo pack for 25 euros of our daughter with Cinderella. The children also get a gift. Girls a wand and boys a knights mask.
I’m not sure who enjoyed it more me or our three year old daughter! This is a really special treat for those who love the Prince and Princesess.
We discovered this on the last day of our holiday so quickly booked a table for 12 lunch. Expensive yes but truly worth every penny.
Cinderella was the most beautiful person I have ever met. My daughter,4, was amazed and my son,5, wants to marry her. She spent so much time with the children and was truly interested in what they had to say. The photo pack is a wonderful keepsake.
Our waitress made the whole experience so wonderful and could not do enough as did the mice serving us! Our food was delicious well cooked and well presented. Please remember when going to this restaurant it is a fine dining experience and the food may not suit everyone’s taste.
Just when the children thought that was it out came all the princesses and their princes to dance for us. I wasn’t expecting them to interact as much as they did. Every princess and prince came to our table for photos and to give out autographs. The children where truly spellbound. This was by far the best Disney experience and worth every penny.
The best meal we have ever had at DLRP! The kids loved the princes and princesses, who all came round to the tables for photos and autographs and then performed dances. The food was fantastic, a set starter, choice of main meals and a delicious set of desserts. The cocktail on arrival was lovely and our wine glasses were topped up almost every time we took a sip! The decor in the restaurant is beautiful and the waiters were very friendly and helpful.
This is an expensive character meal but well worth the money, both for the food and the characters, especially if you have young children. Truly magical!
We used our half board meal vouchers for a meal with the princesses. Our meal was booked for 4pm, the restaurant was emptying and we thought we had missed all the fun, but we were wrong. The menu wasn’t very appealing but we did all manage to find something to choose from the menu.
The cocktails were really good, the starter was horrible though, but that didn’t really matter as the main course and sweet made up for it. Portions were quite small, but the main reason for us going was the character interaction which was fantastic. Just as we were having our sweets, the princesses came back out. Cinderella and Prince Charming danced for us, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White spent loads of time sitting with all the children while the mice danced and posed for photographs with everyone.
It was a lovely experience, very expensive but as a one off, worth it.
I used to enjoy dining at this restaurant, usually choosing a duck main course dish and the Cinderella’s slipper for dessert. However I now avoid it due to the ‘character dining’ experience. I have in the past partaken in the character breakfast, character lunch at the Lucky Nugget restaurant and character tea time also at the Lucky Nugget restaurant. I feel that I have done all the character dining experiences that I want to and now one of my main restaurant venues has started running their own character experience.
Although I could still visit the restaurant I refuse to pay the high price for a character experience that I don’t want. This shouldn’t stop families with young children from visiting it but do be aware that it is one of the most expensive restaurants on site.
What a wonderful experience. My husband and I and our three children (aged 2,3 and 5) ate here for the “Suzy & Perla’s” fantasies character experience on 26/11/07.
The food was fantastic, a starter of fois gras and smoked salmon, a choice of 5 delicious mains and a desert which consisted of 3 separate dishes including creme brulee and chocolate torte. The meal began with a choice of alcoholic or non-alcohoic cocktail (included in the price) and you could have as much water and red/white wine as you wanted also included in the price.
The childrens menu was also brilliant, a lovely change to a lot of the fast food available elsewhere. Our children had a tomato and mozerella starter, a combination of vegetable pasta and braised chicken with mushroom sauce and a lovley combination on mini deserts including the famous cinderella’s slipper desert. Kids drinks were also included.
Service was great and the character interaction was brilliant. The princesses (and princes!) all took time to come to the tables and chat with the children and were more than happy to sign autoraphs and have plenty of photos taken. The characters act out the cindrella story throughout the meal, the setting is beautiful – it was a magical experience.
Our bill came to 145.00 euros for the five of us – expensive, but, compared to the quality and standard of food elsewhere in the Park it was good value. The experience as a whole was worth every penny!!
Our table was booked for 12 midday and it was relatively quiet – it did get rather busy after 1:30 pm.
Avoid like the plague.
The Menu – 3 items: Pate de Fois Gras, Veal, Salmon. No childrens menu. Drinks extra, even water. Price per head 50Euros!!!!
The waiting room is like a bad station sitting among the push chairs, and the receptionist miserable.
With 3 little girls we had prebooked so that they could meet the princesses, but couldn’t have eaten anything on the menu, and although prebooked would have had to wait 40 minutes!
We cancelled the booking and left. (I did find a way they could meet the princeses though).
I loved this restaurant because of the characters. The characters spent time with the children and allowed us to take loads of photos. Very disappointed with the menu. It was far too limited, I did expect this but thought there would be something for the fussy eater like myself. I couldn’t eat anything except the sweet. It was a very expensive photo opportunity.
I don’t begrudge it though as the characters were lovely and the venue is lovely, just think there should be something on the menu that would appeal to plain jane people like myself. My children couldn’t eat anything either!!
Simply stunning!
Took the family for the princesses lunch and whilst expensive, worth every penny. Meal absolutely fabulous with cocktails and wine included, service superb, and desert amazing. Also visited by Snow White, Ariel, Cinderella and Prince Charming. Wonderful surroundings and cannot recommend highly enough 10/10!!
